Total Expert has increased its customer base 8.5 times to over 100 enterprise customers and employs 218 people. It plans to use the new funding to hire additional data scientists, designers and industry experts and to accelerate development of its APIs, machine learning and AI capabilities. Following the Series C, the company has raised a total of $86m. Total Expert is a Minneapolis, MN-based provider of an enterprise-level Marketing Operating System (MOS) for banks and lenders. The MOS enables lending and financial services firms to create and nurture customer relationships by tracking and personalizing communications across channels from first send to closed transaction. The platform allows banks and lenders to create and track every tweet, text, email, postcard, etc., and to tailor communications whether customers are researching a mortgage or are long-term clients ready for new accounts. Total Expert serves eight of America’s top 15 lenders, including U.S. Bank, loanDepot and Guaranteed Rate, and employs 162 people. The company raised $20m in a Series B that brought total funding to date to $34m. It plans to use the funds to accelerate marketing innovation in banking and lending and to begin expanding into insurance and wealth management in the U.S. and internationally.
