86-90 Paul St, London, Greater London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom
Overview
Founded in 2023 by former Tessian employees Andy Smith and Sam Cox, Tracebit develops cloud-native deception technology that deploys decoy assets (canaries) across cloud environments to detect malicious activity. The platform supports thousands of accounts, monitors about five billion events each week, and generates millions of canaries daily for customers including Riot Games, Snyk, Synthesia, Docker, and Admiral Insurance. Tracebit has expanded beyond AWS to support Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, developer workstations, and identity providers, and it plans support for Google Cloud Platform. The company is introducing new products such as Perimeter Canaries and Deceptive Artefacts to place decoys at SaaS and cloud edges for faster detection. Current plans include scaling its customer base and hiring across go-to-market and engineering functions funded by the Series A. The company reported total funding of $25 million after the Series A.
