TrueLeap is a Houston-based edtech company developing edge-AI learning systems, workforce platforms, and last-mile broadband solutions tailored for areas with limited connectivity and unreliable power. Its integrated hardware-software stack lets schools and governments deploy digital services that remain functional even when bandwidth is scarce. The firm has already rolled out infrastructure in Africa, India, and rural parts of the United States, and it recently inked a deal with the City of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo to implement a digital twin platform that tracks enrollment, staffing, and performance in real time. Founders Sandip Bordoloi and Sunny Zhang spun the company out of Born Global Ventures, a Houston venture studio for immigrant-founded tech startups.
