Trunk integrates thousands of open-source linters, static analyzers, and auto-formatters into a single platform to surface and fix issues while developers write code. Its initial product, Trunk Check (in beta), manages discovery, installation, configuration, and execution of those checks and is available via a CLI, a VS Code extension, and a GitHub Action. The company recently launched a web app that syncs with local installations to provide organizations analytics on code quality and security across repositories. Trunk is developing Trunk Merge, currently in preview, to orchestrate pull-request merging so repositories always pass tests. Pricing includes a free team tier for up to ten developers, an enterprise plan with unlimited users and private repositories, and free unlimited use for open source projects. The core platform is closed source today, though the company says that could change in the future.
