TruStory builds a platform for researching and validating claims made online, initially focusing on ICO white papers, websites and other crypto-related claims. It uses the wisdom of crowds — recruiting scientists and researchers — who earn tokens, reputation and influence for validating or debunking claims. Tokens are generated by the protocol and dishonest validators lose tokens, reputation and influence. The founder says the network will later be used to validate claims beyond the crypto market, and there will be opportunities for people to buy tokens to have projects vetted. TruStory is currently run solely by founder Preethi Kasireddy, who is hiring a couple of operations people and key engineers. The company says it will not launch an ICO to fund hiring and instead expects token economics and token development to eventually help fund the business.
