U-Space
B612, 3 rue Tarfaya, Toulouse, Occitanie, 31400, France
Overview
Founded in 2018, U-Space develops proprietary 12U and FreeForm satellite platforms and accompanying software to serve the growing demand for constellation manufacturing. The company handles the full stack from design through in-orbit operations and already has three satellites—NESS, Soap, and Pandore—circling the Earth with another dozen in production. Its 850 m² ‘U-Zine’ clean-room facility in Toulouse, slated to open at the end of 2024, is engineered for automotive-style, fully digital assembly and is targeted to reach a cadence of one satellite per day. Backed by an 80-person team, U-Space plans to scale output to one satellite per week by the end of 2027 while expanding sales into Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. The fresh capital strengthens its balance sheet and funds software investment and industrial digitalisation to support this ramp-up. Management believes these moves will position the company as Europe’s reference player for global satellite-constellation manufacturing.
