Updater Services, founded in 1985 and headquartered in Chennai, provides integrated business services across IFM (integrated facilities management), P&S (people and staffing) and PSS/IAM (production support services/industrial asset management). The company serves more than 700 clients across industries including IT/ITeS, BFSI and e-commerce, with a particularly strong presence in South India and is ranked among the top five IFM providers in the country. Management has stated the MOPE partnership will help expand operations, deepen client relationships and further strengthen its position as a leading IBS provider. The firm has received multiple industry accolades, including a recent "Best Engineering service provider of the year" award at the GMR–IGI airport awards. In February 2017 Updater secured a INR 1,000 million private equity commitment for a minority stake, marking its third round of private equity investment.
