The platform surfaced AI-powered prioritisation, automated drafting (requiring user approval), follow-ups, search for receipts, meeting scheduling, and integrations with external AI tools and calendars. During an invite-only beta the product engaged thousands of users, with reported time savings on inbox management (from over an hour a day to around 15 minutes for some users). Upstream emphasizes user control and privacy, stating it does not train models on customer data and that AI analysis of messages is transient and request-driven.
