VAEIDION

Prinzregentenstr. 54, München, Bayern, 80538, Germany

Overview

VÆRIDION develops the Microliner, a nine-passenger electric Conventional Take-Off and Landing (eCTOL) aircraft with a nominal range of 400 km, advanced battery-wing integration, and a multi-engine single-propeller configuration. The company targets short-haul regional mobility and plans certification-conforming prototype flights in 2027 and first commercial service by 2030. Founded in 2021 by former Airbus managers Ivor van Dartel and Dr Sebastian Seemann in Munich, VÆRIDION has completed initial functional and validation tests and secured initial customers in Denmark, the Benelux region, and Germany. The startup secured a Pre-Application Contract (PAC) with EASA, confirming the Microliner’s compliance with commercial passenger aircraft certification standards. VÆRIDION is exploring additional applications such as air-ambulance services in partnership with Aero-Dienst and aims to serve smaller airfields with low-noise, energy-efficient operations. The company raised €14 million in Series A funding and will use the proceeds, supplemented by Bavarian and German research grants, to expand its team, accelerate product development, and deepen its commercial footprint.
