Vanguard is developing an automated insurance underwriting platform that streamlines interactions among underwriters, brokers, and shipping clients. The platform automates processes from initial broker introduction through the underwriter’s final decision and tailors each case to specific vessel risks. It can integrate operational data and coordinate with vessel managers to dynamically adjust routes and operations for scenarios such as war insurance. Vanguard says it has already helped an unnamed operator reduce war insurance premiums by over 50%. The company raised US$1 million in a seed round to support development of the platform and commercial rollout. It has a strategic partnership with Gallagher to provide marine clients access to the platform and participated in Studio 30 50’s first cohort sprint; Co‑Founder and investor Kfir Magen is quoted on the company’s mission to align technology-driven safety with fair premiums.
