- Pyxis
Participated · Equity · Dec 2025
Pyxis builds and supplies fully electric vessels for maritime operators across Asia, coupling the hardware with Electra™, its proprietary energy and vessel management platform that delivers real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance and fleet-level optimisation. By cutting fuel burn and upkeep, the company promises a lower total cost of ownership while sharply reducing emissions. Demand is growing: Pyxis has already secured 17 confirmed orders for its craft and has deployed two ultra-fast marine charging stations, with additional sites planned alongside local partners. The startup’s near-term roadmap includes scaling production to serve customers in Singapore, Japan and the broader ASEAN region, adding IoT and vehicle-to-grid functions to Electra™, and expanding its charging network. Recent funding, which combines equity and green debt, strengthens its balance sheet and provides working capital for vessel deployment and infrastructure build-out. The company positions itself at the nexus of maritime decarbonisation, digital fleet management and clean-energy infrastructure.
- bound4blue
Participated · Equity · Dec 2025
Spanish startup bound4blue designs and manufactures eSAIL®, a thick-profile, suction-assisted rigid sail that provides auxiliary wind propulsion for maritime vessels. Independently verified trials show fuel and emission reductions of 15–20 % on Odfjell’s Bow Olympus, with peaks up to 40 %, and daily fuel savings of up to 5.4 t on the Ville de Bordeaux ro-ro ship. The company has already installed its sails on seven ships and holds orders for twelve more, representing more than 50 eSAIL units. Customers include Maersk Tankers, Eastern Pacific Shipping, Odfjell, Klaveness Combination Carriers and BW Epic Kosan. With parallel production lines planned in Spain and China, bound4blue aims to manufacture several hundred sails annually and projects annual CO₂ savings exceeding 400,000 t by 2027. The newly raised capital positions the firm to transition from technology validation to full industrial scale-up while continuing R&D on additional wind-propulsion solutions.
