Ventus Therapeutics leverages its proprietary ReSOLVE platform, combining structural biology, protein science and computational chemistry, to identify and characterize previously unknown or poorly understood pockets on protein surfaces. Its lead program VENT‑01 is a peripherally restricted NLRP3 inhibitor; the company also has a brain‑penetrant NLRP3 inhibitor program and a cGAS program. Ventus plans IND submissions for its three lead programs in 2023 and intends to expand R&D staff to support additional pipeline programs and potential partnerships. Ventus Therapeutics discovers and develops novel small molecule medicines that target innate immunity pathways for autoimmune, inflammatory diseases and cancer. The company’s core technology is a structural immunology platform built on proprietary protein engineering capabilities to elucidate molecular structures and enable direct biochemical and biophysical assays for previously intractable targets. Ventus is pursuing challenging targets including inflammasome and nucleic acid‑sensing pathways and advanced multiple screens and qualified hits into lead discovery during its stealth period. With a $60 million Series A led by founding investor Versant Ventures and participation from GV, the company plans to advance three pipeline programs and expand its platform. Ventus operates across sites in Montreal and Boston and expects to expand headcount to more than 30 scientists this year. The company also intends to consider discovery‑stage partnerships to fully exploit the platform and progress its programs against autoimmune, inflammatory and oncology indications.
