Verility

Maxwell, IN, United States

Overview

Verility has developed Fertile-Eyez, an AI-enabled, smartphone-based fertility analysis platform that predicts ovulation phase and assesses sperm quality at the point of care. The product leverages image recognition and proprietary algorithms licensed from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where the technology was created and validated in humans. Verility’s platform aims to give livestock producers and breeders accurate, simple, and cost-effective tools to accelerate reproductive performance and improve conception rates. The company plans to develop its product specifically for swine producers and breeders and is preparing for commercialization, which it anticipates in late 2023. Management says the funding will allow development for a major segment of production and bring automated mobile breeding technologies to parts of animal health that have seen little innovation. Verility has received prior support from Purdue Foundry and won $100,000 as one of two winners of the Purdue Ag-Celerator in January 2022.
