Veritas Intercontinental is a spin-off of US-based Veritas Genetics that operates genomic sequencing laboratories and offers comprehensive sequencing-based tests leveraging Veritas Genetics technology. The company works with clinical partners in multiple countries, including Clínica Universidad de Navarra (Spain), Centro Médico Imbanaco (Colombia) and the Albert Einstein hospital (Brazil). Its offering builds on the myGenome product developed by Veritas Genetics, a deep-data personal genomics test. Veritas Intercontinental aims to consolidate its business as a regional sequencing lab and to develop its own R&D and laboratory infrastructure to operate independently from its US parent. The company is led by CEO and cofounder Javier de Echevarría. Financially, Veritas closed a €5M Series B in October 2020 and has raised €20M in total to date.
