  • Respiro Diagnostics

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2026

Respiro Diagnostics is developing a non-invasive liquid biopsy platform that captures DNA, RNA and proteins from exhaled breath using a proprietary breath collection device combined with laboratory analysis. The company positions its technology as an alternative to invasive tissue biopsies and blood-based liquid biopsies, aiming to support earlier diagnosis and provide molecular profiling to guide treatment decisions. Respiro has completed initial proof-of-concept testing in mesothelioma patients and plans to start its first lung cancer clinical study at Aalborg University Hospital in September 2026. The startup is also evaluating applications of its platform for other respiratory conditions such as pulmonary hypertension and asthma. Respiro is UK-based and was founded by Alison Quinn and Dr Theo Issitt. The company recently raised £1 million in a pre-seed round to fund clinical research and further development of its device and laboratory platform.

  • Slamcore

    Participated · Equity · May 2026

Slamcore develops spatial intelligence software that uses stereo cameras and proprietary visual AI to continuously track the position and behavior of industrial vehicles without GPS, beacons, floor markers or other infrastructure. Its products, Slamcore Aware and Slamcore Alert, provide facility-wide vehicle visibility and monitor driver behavior and proximity to pedestrians and structures. The company says its solutions are deployed across more than 30 facilities in Europe and North America and have scaled to hundreds of units in under two years. Headquartered in London, Slamcore has raised a total of $40 million following the latest $14 million round. Company leadership and investors emphasize the operational datasets produced by deployments as a foundation for future physical AI applications.

  • Stateful Robotics

    Led · Seed · Mar 2026

Stateful Robotics develops a continuous intelligence layer that integrates real-time data, task progress, and historical performance into a unified model so robots can recall past events and adapt to changing conditions. Its platform is intended to improve long-term reliability and planning for robots operating in dynamic, real-world environments. The company was spun out of the University of Oxford and was co-founded by CEO Kirsty Lloyd-Jukes alongside Professor Nick Hawes, Professor David Parker, and Dr Bruno Lacerda, building on more than a decade of Oxford research. Stateful Robotics is already running pilot tests with customers in infrastructure and logistics. The recent $4.8M pre-seed raise will fund expansion of the engineering team, further development of its performance engine, and go-to-market acceleration with industrial partners. No revenue, user, or valuation metrics were disclosed in the articles.

  • Refute

    Led · Seed · Feb 2026

Refute builds an artificial-intelligence platform that identifies early signals of coordinated online manipulation and supplies near real-time intelligence and response recommendations. The system is used by both public-sector and commercial customers, particularly those in higher-risk sectors such as elections and mining, to strengthen resilience against increasingly sophisticated influence operations. In recent European elections, the platform uncovered more than 32,500 inauthentic TikTok videos aimed at expatriate communities, while 40 percent of monitored mining-sector sites showed signs of misleading or inauthentic activity. Having emerged from stealth with a pre-seed round in 2024, the company is now expanding its technology and client base. The newly secured seed capital will fund further product development and broaden engagement with governments and enterprises facing hybrid warfare and reputational threats. Financially, Refute has raised at least two rounds (pre-seed and seed) to date, with the latest £5 million injection supporting continued growth and R&D.

  • Nu Quantum

    Participated · Series A · Dec 2025

Nu Quantum is pioneering distributed quantum computing by developing the Entanglement Fabric, a modular, interoperable photonic networking stack that links separate quantum processors into a single, more powerful system. Its approach targets the key industry hurdle of scaling qubit counts to reach fault-tolerant, utility-scale quantum computers. The firm has already demonstrated world-first subsystems such as a Qubit-Photon Interface slated for 2024 and a Quantum Networking Unit planned for 2025, and it is advancing research in Distributed Quantum Error Correction. Fresh capital will accelerate product development, expand its multidisciplinary team, and support international growth following the opening of a Los Angeles office and the formation of a U.S. strategic advisory board. Nu Quantum also convenes the Quantum Datacenter Alliance to foster ecosystem collaboration with quantum processing unit partners. The oversubscribed $60 million Series A— the largest pure-play quantum networking round globally and the largest quantum Series A in the UK—provides substantial runway for these ambitions.
