Vesigen Therapeutics launched to address intracellular delivery barriers for next‑generation therapeutics using a proprietary ARMMs (ARRDC1‑mediated microvesicles) fusogenic extracellular vesicle platform. The company has demonstrated that ARMMs can package and functionally deliver a wide range of payloads, including mRNA, shRNA, ribozymes, proteins, antibody fragments, and Cas9/gRNA, in vitro and in vivo. Vesigen intends to use the platform to enable delivery of modalities such as gene editing, RNA interference, and mRNA replacement across indications including oncology, neurology, and ophthalmology. With the announced financing, the company plans to build out the ARMMs platform and advance multiple therapeutic agents into preclinical and clinical development. Vesigen’s technology is being advanced under an exclusive license agreement with Harvard University and was discovered and engineered in the lab of Quan Lu, PhD.
