Vesto is a French circular-economy company that collects, repairs and resells professional kitchen appliances such as ovens, refrigerators and coffee machines. Working from its factory in Compans (Seine-et-Marne), the team fixes existing faults and pre-emptively addresses likely future issues, enabling it to market equipment at roughly 50 % of the cost of new items with a similar failure rate. The firm estimates that each refurbished machine avoids nearly ten tonnes of CO₂ compared with purchasing a new model. Commercial operations began in 2021, one year after the company’s 2020 founding, and its customers include kitchen designers, restaurateurs and public-sector buyers. Fresh funding will allow Vesto to apply its refurbishment expertise to coffee vending machines, construction tools and medical devices. Although no revenue or user figures have been released, the recent €6.4 million raise strengthens its balance sheet for this planned expansion.
