Overview
ViaBot develops RUNO robots that autonomously sweep, collect and dump debris while performing autonomous battery hot swapping to enable continuous operation. The robots include multiple cameras, sonar sensors and GPS for navigation and use an image network specialized on recycling to identify recyclable objects. RUNO also runs a soft security-monitoring program (currently in beta) that scans for and escalates suspicious activity to security teams. As part of its go-to-market, ViaBot disclosed a strategic partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, which has deployed RUNO units to properties in the Bay Area for sweeping and security services. Financially, the company publicly launched with $6.1M in funding to support commercialization and deployment. Founded in 2016 by Gregg Ratanaphanyarat and Andre Ding, the company is based in San Francisco, CA.
