Vimcal is a calendar app that uses AI and natural language to simplify scheduling for individuals and teams. The company launched an iOS app and improved its Outlook integration last year, and recently added natural-language meeting creation to iOS. Since last year it introduced an AI-powered Free Time Finder that parses pasted availabilities and Calendly links and converts times to the user’s time zone. In April Vimcal launched Maestro, a product for executive assistants that the company says can save schedulers handling multiple executives up to two hours per day. Recent product updates include automatic color coding for internal and external meetings and the ability to search free slots for all team members. Vimcal aims to become a hub and system of record for meeting-related tools and is expanding its team and enterprise feature set. Vimcal builds a fast, keyboard- and touch-optimized calendar that reduces the steps required to create and edit events and to share availability. The product includes web and desktop clients (Windows and Mac Intel/M1), a Chrome extension, and a newly released iOS app with Outlook integration. Key features include a command center for natural-language event creation, keyboard shortcuts, drag-to-create availability Slots, Personal Links for recurring blocks, and Time Travel for multi–time-zone comparison. The company recently launched Vimcal Maestro for executive assistants and supports viewing teammates' calendars to simplify internal scheduling. Vimcal charges $15 per month or $150 per year for desktop access, with a team plan priced at $120 per year for groups larger than five. The startup has a nine-person team and has raised $1.9 million to date. The company is focused on building team- and enterprise-oriented features and is developing iPad and Apple Watch apps, with Android planned for later.
