Visible offers a consumer smartphone app (now in open beta on Android and iOS) that helps users track symptoms, heart-rate variability and pacing to manage long COVID and related post-viral conditions. Initially the app relies on manual morning/evening check-ins and smartphone photoplethysmography (PPG) to estimate HRV; the company plans a premium Visible Plus subscription that pairs with a Polar Verity Sense heart-rate monitor to provide continuous accelerometer, gyroscope and HRM data. Visible will use wearable data to generate illness-specific digital biomarkers, send real-time activity alerts to avoid post-exertional malaise, and plans broader device support in future releases. The company has a research partnership with Imperial College London and an advisory board including Dr. David Putrino and Dr. David Strain, and users can opt in to share data with researchers. Financially, Visible launched out of stealth with $1 million in pre-seed funding and says more than 4,500 people were on its waitlist at launch.
