Viva Translate provides an AI-powered Spanish-English translation platform designed for work environments, delivered initially as a Chrome extension that automatically translates newly written Spanish communications into English as the user writes. The product emphasizes translating intent and context for freelancer–client communications, and it detects grammatical and industry-specific improvements for users to review. The extension also offers tailored remote job recommendations based on each user’s skill set and résumé. Founded by a team of Stanford researchers and led by CEO Belinda Mo, the company focuses initially on Spanish-speaking professionals across Latin America and on enabling them to work for U.S. companies without English fluency. The company has amassed a waitlist of more than 100,000 professionals across IT/engineering, design, administrative, data entry and customer service roles. Viva plans to use the seed funds to build out engineering and other internal teams and is accepting requests from prospective users to try the technology.
