Overview
VodaSafe positions itself as a North American leader in modern water-based rescue technologies. Its flagship product, AquaEye®, is the world’s first hand-held scanning sonar device and combines ultrasound and artificial intelligence to aid in search and recovery. The device is designed to be portable, durable, and easy to use for emergency response teams, lifeguards, and other water-related groups. AquaEye® can perform a 360-degree scan in as little as 3–5 minutes and covers about 85,000 square feet (nearly two acres). VodaSafe sells AquaEye® through distributors (Barrier Waterman in the U.S.; the Lifesaving Society or direct in Canada) and markets to search-and-rescue teams, fire departments, police, summer camps, and recreational users. The company recently closed seed financing to support expansion of AquaEye® availability across Canada and the United States.
