Wardrobe
Via Anastasio II, 103, Roma, Lazio, 00165, Italy
Overview
Wardrobe operates a peer-to-peer rental marketplace for vintage, designer, and luxury clothing and has publicly launched out of beta. The platform routes owner-submitted garments to local dry cleaners, which serve as inventory hubs; Wardrobe HQ handles storage, shipping and photography. Owners receive roughly 70–75% of the rental price after dry-cleaning costs. In beta the company learned users want to follow specific closets, so the app now lets users follow one another to surface influencers and repeat sellers. Wardrobe has partnerships with more than 40 Manhattan dry cleaners serving the island below 110th Street, with each cleaner able to hold between 100 and 1,000 items. The company was founded by Adarsh Alphons after he observed many unused items in his own wardrobe.
