Overview
Warmly’s platform enables SMB-sized B2B companies to observe and track engagement, identify their warmest leads based on intent signals, and scale outreach with automated, personalized contact via email and LinkedIn. The product orchestrates 1st- and 3rd-party signals so sales teams can initiate conversations when prospects are considering purchases and strengthen pipelines. The company plans to use new funding to double its sales and marketing team, expand European headcount to 20 and reach a global headcount of 50. Upcoming product work includes new data quality functionalities and further integration of AI with the aim of building lead-generating AI agents. Warmly says the platform has delivered millions of dollars of new revenue for customers and reports high customer satisfaction and renewals. Management has set a goal to triple ARR in 2025 while maintaining current customer outcomes. Warmly pivoted from a Zoom meeting background tool to an autonomous sales platform that pushes data about website visitors in active buy mode to sales teams. The platform orchestrates metadata from Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Outreach and Salesloft and combines intent data from 6sense, Clearbit and Bombora to identify, track and connect with visitors. It requires one line of code on a website and can trigger bot messages, visual cues or Slack alerts to notify sellers about warm prospects. The company offers a free tier for individual salespeople, a $850/month (about $10,000/year) team tier, and an enterprise tier for advanced workflows. Warmly reports roughly 100 paying customers, including New Relic, Gainsight and Sendoso. The team says it is GDPR-, CCPA- and security-compliant and was partly shaped by founders who previously worked at Google. Warmly offers a free app, Warmly People Insights, in the Zoom App Marketplace that displays auto-generated Zoom backgrounds and mini bios next to users’ faces to provide conversational context during meetings. Features include customized backgrounds with short bios, pronouns, phonetic name pronunciations, Warm Profiles that let users connect via Twitter and LinkedIn before meetings, and a quick email function for notifying others when running late. The company pivoted from digital business cards to focus on auto-generated virtual backgrounds after founders found virtual meetings felt inorganic and distracted. Warmly’s stated mission is to “bring humanity back into conversation,” led by CEO Maximus Greenwald, an ex-Google employee and Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree; the product was built largely through Zoom and the company has been part of Zoom’s beta program since November 2020. The company cites a survey of 1,000 business professionals finding 74% of people research someone while speaking to them as part of its product rationale. Financially, Warmly has raised a total of $4.5 million to date, including a recent $2.4 million in additional funding.
