Overview
Waycare is a Tel Aviv-based, AI-powered cloud SaaS platform that provides connected mobility solutions for transportation agencies. It ingests data from GPS navigation apps, connected vehicles and infrastructure to deliver actionable, predictive insights that identify roads where future crashes are likely to occur. The company’s first commercial deployment was with Southern Nevada in 2017, and it has since expanded to Florida, Ohio and other U.S. states. Waycare was founded in Israel by Noam Maital and Shai Suzan and also operates a Los Angeles office. The company plans to expand services in Europe and Israel in 2020 and will use recent funding to drive expansion in North America and Europe and to enhance its cloud-based platform. In April 2019 it raised a $7.25M Series A. Waycare offers a cloud-based AI-driven transportation management platform that integrates historical and real-time data—traffic light timing, major events, weather, vehicle location, speeds, acceleration/deceleration, counts and occupancies—to produce predictive analytics and actionable insights. The platform gives municipal agencies a full mobility map of their roads regardless of existing infrastructure and helps identify dangerous driving conditions before incidents occur. Waycare is led by CEO Noam Maital and is based in Tel Aviv, Israel, and Palo Alto, CA. The company raised $2.3M in seed funding to support its growth. Waycare plans to expand its Israel-based software development team and support upcoming engagements with cities across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. It also intends to continue growing data partnerships with OEMs, telematics providers, and navigation-solution companies.
