Wellory
186 Degraw St, Brooklyn, New York, 11231, United States
Overview
Wellory offers an "anti-diet" approach to nutrition by matching users with licensed nutritionists, registered dietitians, or certified health coaches who create personalized plans and provide ongoing feedback. Coaches review users' meal photos and additional health data to tailor advice for goals like weight loss, postpartum recovery, chronic illness management, or general optimization. The company launched in September after a beta period in which some testers used the service for nine to 11 months. The app is available on iOS and Android and currently charges $59.99 per month, with plans to introduce additional pricing tiers. Founder and CEO Emily Hochman, formerly head of customer success at WayUp, is a certified health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Wellory emphasizes strong coach–user relationships to help customers sustain progress after reaching initial goals. The startup positions human coaches at the center of understanding health data and intends to expand technology and marketing efforts and pursue new partnerships using fresh capital.
