WEMS provides a fully wireless, web-enabled building energy management system that enables customers to operate and control HVAC, lighting and security systems across multiple commercial locations. It supplies retailers, telecoms companies and other organisations and also offers outsourced, contract-based energy management services from its Energy Centre in Stockport. Customers include British Telecom (BT), Boots, HMV, Matalan, Waterstones, Fitness First and Nationwide Building Society. The company was co-founded in 1990 by Technical Director Joe Blower and Steve Dillon and is based in Stockport, UK. WEMS posted a turnover of £12m in its last financial year. Adam Communication Systems International provides building energy management systems (BEMS) and associated energy management services. The company plans to use a recent investment as working capital to support a continued increase in sales of its BEMS products and services. It will recruit additional sales and operational staff to deliver on several large contracts it has recently won. Management said the funding will provide the headroom necessary for the fast-paced growth the company is experiencing and will allow expansion into markets beyond its traditional sectors. Adam was established in 1990 by Steve Dillon and Joe Blower and is based in Stockport, UK. The company currently employs 45 staff.
