Wesper is an NYC-based provider of a clinical-grade, FDA-cleared platform that delivers the full cycle of sleep therapy to home users. Its sensors and algorithms enable at-home medical diagnosis and ongoing measurement before, during, and after treatment. The platform gives users access to customized, professional guidance from sleep specialists without requiring in-person visits. Wesper offers access to sleep data so that professionals can provide care and grow sleep testing services. The company raised $7.5M in a Series A round led by Ceros Capital Markets. Wesper says it will use the funds to accelerate growth and expand operations. Tatch builds a flexible, lightweight patch that measures respiratory effort, breathing airflow, oxygen levels, body position and other signals overnight to produce the data needed to diagnose sleep disorders. The device is intended as a diagnostic tool rather than a consumer nightly tracker and is designed to connect users with specialists who can interpret results. The company says the sensor can help diagnose sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, insomnia and some respiratory illnesses. Tatch is gearing up for a pilot program in the next few months, is in early conversations with the FDA about clearance, and is targeting a commercial rollout in early 2021. The startup plans to use new funding to scale its engineering and business teams and aims to double headcount by year’s end. Tatch was part of the Runway Startup program at Cornell Tech.
