Whitespace
917 King Street, Suite B, Alexandria, VA, 22314, United States
Overview
Founded in 2015 by Paul Jenkinson and Andrew McCartney, Whitespace develops sovereign and secure artificial-intelligence infrastructure for the UK’s most critical regulated environments. Its flagship product, Collective, is an AI operating system built entirely in the UK that lets organisations build, deploy, govern and scale AI across cloud, edge, on-premise and air-gapped systems. The platform is already powering multiple UK Defence and National Security missions and Whitespace is one of only four SMEs holding an enterprise agreement with the Ministry of Defence. The company positions sovereignty, security and control as core differentiators, aiming to let governments and enterprises own and trust their AI infrastructure. Traction on “both sides of the Atlantic” and partnerships with large technology providers have helped validate its market position. Proceeds from the latest financing will fund product development, expand engineering and delivery capacity at headquarters, reinforce the leadership team, and scale customer-success programmes domestically and internationally. Over the long term, Whitespace aims to advance toward “superintelligence” that augments human decision-making in complex, high-risk environments.
