Wia provides a cloud platform that enables developers to convert sensor-based hardware into secure, managed IoT devices and applications in minutes. The platform handles much of the cloud infrastructure and device management, aiming to reduce development time and the amount of custom code required. Founder and CEO Conall Laverty says Wia serves users from hobbyist makers to enterprise customers deploying large numbers of devices across verticals including logistics, agriculture and industrial. The service is free for developers; commercial customers pay a subscription starting from €59 per month. An on-premise version is planned for release in the coming months and will be offered under an annual license model. The company recently raised €750,000 in seed funding.
