  • BeCertain

    Led · Seed · Jul 2026

BeCertain was spun out of King’s College London and the University of Surrey to commercialise research that applies uncertainty-aware AI to 2D intraoral dental X-rays. Its software detects conditions such as tooth decay, bone loss, infections and restoration defects and reports calibrated confidence scores rather than a single black-box verdict. The company positions the product to increase diagnostic consistency, integrate with common dental imaging systems, and protect patient data with privacy measures. BeCertain’s technology was developed from research led by Dr Yunpeng Li and Professor Owen Addison and trained on NHS-grade data, and the team has emphasised explainability to support clinical judgement. Financially, the venture has been supported by a £1.75 million NIHR i4i award and has just raised £1.7 million in pre-seed funding led by Sure Valley Ventures. The company joined King’s MedTech Venture Builder in 2025 as part of its route to commercialisation.

  • Xylo

    Participated · Seed · Jul 2026

Xylo builds an AI platform to streamline local government planning application workflows, including document management, submission verification and response compilation. The platform is designed to increase council efficiency while ensuring planning officers retain final decision-making authority. Following its £2.8M pre-seed round in July 2026, Xylo plans to scale development and deployment of its software with support from institutional and angel investors. The company serves local authorities and aims to expand adoption across councils. The article did not disclose revenue or user metrics.

  • ManaMind

    Led · Seed · Apr 2026

ManaMind develops autonomous AI agents that continuously play through games to detect bugs, generate actionable reports, and automate repetitive QA tasks. The company has built proprietary visual models tailored for virtual environments and positions gaming as its launch market. ManaMind has formed design partnerships with Included Games and Crazy Labs, indicating early commercial traction. The founders are Emil Kostadinov and Sabtain Ahmad and the company is based in London. ManaMind plans to expand its technical team and accelerate model development with proceeds from its $1.5M pre-seed round. Over time the company intends to broaden its autonomous testing layer beyond games into other software and robotics applications.

  • Ralio

    Led · Seed · Apr 2026

Ralio develops infrastructure to enable secure, auditable payments initiated by autonomous software agents. Its platform adds identity verification, enforceable limits (guardrails), and auditing capabilities across accounts, cards, and stablecoins to address gaps it sees in existing payment systems. The company argues current payments rails lack mechanisms for verified intent, enforceable limits, and traceability for agent-driven operations. Ralio aims to enable safe and scalable adoption of agentic financial workflows by embedding controls directly into payment processes. The startup will use its $2.5 million pre-seed funding to continue product development and expand its ecosystem with agent builders and payment providers. It has continued backing from Antler and attracted a syndicate led by Sure Valley Ventures and several other investors.

  • Audrey AI

    Led · Seed · Apr 2026

Audrey AI develops an agentic AI platform purpose-built to automate key financial audit workflows, including intelligent data requests, evidence gathering, transaction testing, and automated review. The platform is designed to orchestrate tasks end-to-end and adapt to each audit firm's methodology, improving effectiveness over time. Founded in 2025 by Ryan Loughran and David Burke and based in Dublin, Audrey AI has piloted its solution with top-10 and top-20 audit firms. Pilots reportedly yielded more than 85% time savings in client data collection, validation, and tests of detail, as well as measurable improvements in audit quality. The company plans to use its newly raised pre-seed funding to grow its engineering and audit specialist teams and to scale deployments across Ireland, the UK, and additional international markets.
