Woilà helps consumers reclaim money when product prices fall after purchase or when train transport is delayed by using algorithmic analysis of transactions. Founded in 2017 and based in Stockholm, the company says it has processed €18 million of transactions since May 2019, which it estimates is around 1% of Sweden’s e-commerce market. Woilà reported a 10% week-on-week growth rate and was the top app on Sweden’s Apple Store in August last year. The startup has a roughly 10-person headcount. It raised €2.8 million in a round led by Scandinavian media group Schibsted, with funds earmarked for expansion into existing and international markets, new product verticals, and team growth.
