Overview

Wooclap is an EdTech platform that converts passive lectures and training sessions into interactive experiences using dozens of activities (polls, multiple-choice, word clouds, image annotation) and seamless integrations with LMS and conferencing tools. Founded in 2015 in Brussels by Sébastien Lebbe and Jonathan Alzetta, the platform is used by over 50 million learners globally and is adopted by universities (Sorbonne, University of Sheffield, Duke) and large organisations (Dior, Pernod Ricard, Onepoint, Red Cross). Wooclap emphasizes pedagogical depth and co-construction with education experts, drawing on cognitive science to measure understanding in real time and strengthen skills acquisition. The company also offers Wooflash, an AI-powered microlearning app using spaced repetition to improve retention. Wooclap targets higher education and corporate learning markets and highlights ease of use and integration as core strengths. Future plans include accelerating international growth and further developing AI-powered features to enhance learner engagement. Wooclap is a web-based collaborative platform that turns learners' smartphones into interactive tools for training sessions, conferences, and classes. It enables teachers, trainers, and speakers to create and launch multiple question types (multiple choice, polls, numerical, matching, word clouds) and collect real-time answers and analytics. The solution is designed to be simple and intuitive for both instructors and participants and aims to boost participation, improve learning, and measure audience understanding in real time. Wooclap is used in more than 100 countries by large companies, universities/colleges, and ministries. The company announced a €1.4 million fundraising to better captivate students. Investors named in the raise include Alain Dehaze (CEO of The Adecco Group), Pierre-Olivier Beckers (former CEO of Delhaize) and the SCALE 1 Fund (Be Angels).
