Workbrew
2810 North Church Street Suite 68294, Wilmington, Delaware, 19802, United States
Overview
Workbrew provides an enterprise-focused layer on top of the open-source Homebrew package manager, giving admins centralized control, policy enforcement, vulnerability detection, and fleet-level visibility for MacOS and Linux devices. The product includes a fleet dashboard, basic vulnerability scanning, automated inventory sync and integrations with MDM vendors such as Jamf, Kandji, Fleet and SimpleMDM. It offers a free tier, a $10/month Pro plan with remote management and advanced security tooling, and custom‑priced enterprise plans that include SSO and data residency. Founded in 2023 by John Britton (CEO), Vanessa Gennarelli (COO) and Mike McQuaid (CTO), Workbrew emerged from stealth and entered public beta in August. The company reported roughly 20 beta customers, including Emburse and Vespa, and is incorporated in the U.S. while operating fully remote. With $5 million in new funding, Workbrew plans to rapidly scale the platform, deepen MDM integrations and add more developer-focused features, while relying on the continued health of the Homebrew project.
