Workera develops an AI-powered skills intelligence platform that leverages AI agents, a skills ontology and large language models to deliver precise measurements of workforce capabilities. The product helps organizations align teams, identify and bridge skill gaps, and optimize talent allocation. The company did not disclose customer count or annual recurring revenue, but its customer roster includes Samsung, Siemens Energy, the U.S. Air Force and Belcorp. Workera.ai offers a precision upskilling platform that assesses employees’ current technical proficiency and career goals, then generates personalized learning plans from a library of more than 3,000 micro-skills. The platform covers both technical and nontechnical roles and surfaces skills data to help organizations identify complementary teams. Workera has acquired over 30 customers across 12 countries and begun engagements with Fortune 500 firms, including Siemens Energy. The company was founded in 2020 by Kian Katanforoosh and James Lee, with Andrew Ng serving as chairman. Workera plans to use new funding to grow its engineering and science teams, build out new products, and deepen its granular understanding of natural language processes to improve assessment accuracy. Financially, the company has demonstrated go-to-market traction and is expanding after a seed and Series A raise. Workera is an objective skills assessment and guidance platform initially focused on AI careers. The platform assesses AI skills, recommends personalized learning plans, and helps individuals build careers in machine learning, data science, or software engineering. Participating companies use Workera to measure, benchmark, and guide their AI teams to advance their AI capabilities. The company is based in Palo Alto, CA.
