The company announced a $35m growth financing to support these plans. WorkJam provides a digital workplace platform for large-enterprise and mid-market companies to engage and manage non-desk workforces. Its platform enables communication, task understanding and execution, training delivery, schedule self-service, a multi-location open shift marketplace, and employee recognition and rewards via mobile or desktop. The product is localized in over 28 languages and is deployed in more than 35 countries. The company closed a $50M Series C to support continued innovation and expansion. WorkJam said it will use the funds to expand geographically, pursue acquisitions, and invest in its employees. Inovia Capital’s partner Dennis Kavelman is joining WorkJam’s board in conjunction with the financing. WorkJam offers a mobile-centric platform that lets employers send alerts to hourly employees and manage scheduling, with a desktop version also available. The product targets organizations where many workers lack company email, aiming to improve training, engagement and alignment between corporate strategy and front-line execution. Clients include department store chains and Shell gas stations, and the company expects traction in hotels, retailers and restaurants. WorkJam charges large enterprises per project and offers a subscription fee per employee per month based on chosen modules. The founders bootstrapped the business since launching in 2014, leveraging the CEO Steven Kramer’s prior exit (iCongo was acquired by Hybris and then SAP).
