Claridge, founded in 1987 by Stephen Bronfman’s father Charles Bronfman, and its predecessor company, Cemp Investments Ltd., have been active private equity investors for over five decades. Califia Farms is a Los Angeles, CA–based natural beverage and food company co-founded in 2010 by Sun Pacific and Greg Steltenpohl. The company produces plant-based beverages using a Bakersfield, California manufacturing plant that employs artisanal processes. Its product expansion includes Almondmilk Coffee Creamers and Agua Frescas, and it has added flavors such as Vanilla Coconut Almondmilk Horchata and Pumpkin Spice Latte. Califia leverages its manufacturing and distribution footprint to grow its categories and product lines. The company received a $50M minority investment to support deeper production and distribution capabilities, research and development, new hires, and sales and marketing.

Reacts supports video conferencing, messaging, file sharing and transfer, application and screen sharing, and integrates tools such as augmented reality and real-time image overlay. The product was initially developed to fill a void in healthcare solutions but is also positioned for training and education and other industries. Development projects are underway in Ontario, France, the United States and China. The company raised $4M to accelerate commercialization across Canada and abroad.

Curran is positioned as a high-performance, environmentally sound and economically viable solution for rheology (thickening) and reinforcement. The product targets multiple industries, including paints & coatings, home and personal care, concrete, oil drilling and composites. The company is in the process of scaling up production and commercialising Curran globally. To support that effort, CelluComp has closed a £2.4 million funding round. The financing and the accompanying expertise are intended to accelerate the company’s commercial rollout.
