Worldsmarathons.com operates a global web-based marketplace that helps race organizers and runners find, book and prepare for endurance events worldwide. Led by founder and CEO Charlotte Melchert, the platform has partnered with race organizers to sell starting locations for events in Europe and Asia. The company raised SEK 3.7m in funding to support its market launch. Almi Invest led the round with a SEK 1.7m investment; other participants included Propel Capital and several angel investors. Worldsmarathons plans to continue growing in Europe and in selected growth markets.
