Kingsoft Office Software develops desktop and mobile office-suite products that compete with Microsoft Office. The company recently incorporated in the U.S. and opened its North American headquarters in Palo Alto. Its PC version has 120 million users worldwide and its Android version recently passed 100 million registered users. Kingsoft says its primary U.S. focus is offering free mobile software while targeting both PC and mobile products in emerging markets. It plans a major iOS update to add functionality similar to its Android apps. The company has also invested in Go Launcher; Sungy Capital announced it had picked up $20 million from Kingsoft and Qihoo 360, and Go Launcher reports 42 million monthly active users, 70% of whom are outside China.
