Overview

WSC Sports provides a workflow automation solution that ingests live sports content and automatically generates and distributes short-form, tailored video highlights. Its AI and machine-learning technology analyzes broadcasts in real time to identify game components and produce customized highlights for players, teams, and moments. The platform is used by leading sports media brands to increase fan engagement, strengthen loyalty, and enable marketing and promotional opportunities. Following a $100 million Series D, the company plans aggressive growth across new geographies, sports, and distribution platforms including OTT, NFTs, and sports betting. WSC intends to recruit more than 150 employees across Israel and regional offices in New York, Sydney, and London to support that expansion. The company sells to broadcasters, federations, leagues, teams, sponsors, and brands as its core customer base. WSC Sports provides a platform that generates personalized sports videos for every platform and every sports fan automatically and in real time. The platform utilizes advanced AI to analyze live sports broadcasts, identify each event in a game, create customized short-form video content, and publish to any digital destination. This enables partners to instantly generate and distribute professionally edited personalized clips at scale to engage audiences and maximize video monetization opportunities. The company is currently used by leading media rights owners such as WarnerMedia, the NBA, MLS, US Open, PGA Tour, Bundesliga and others. WSC intends to use the new capital to expand growth across new sports, products and geographic regions. The business has doubled its customer base and revenue year over year for the last three years, grown to more than 100 employees worldwide, and expanded its global footprint with offices in New York and Sydney. WSC Sports Technologies' platform scans live sports broadcasts, identifies each game "event," and automatically generates short-form video highlights that can be distributed through apps and social media. The system produces shareable clips in real time for broadcasters and rights-holders to boost fan engagement. The company counts major clients including the NBA, which signed a multi-year deal in December. Founded in 2008, WSC has positioned itself in the automated sports-video segment alongside competitors such as Grabyo and against prior market moves like Twitter’s acquisition of SnappyTV. Following the latest financing, the company said it will use proceeds to significantly accelerate growth and international expansion. CEO Daniel Shichman noted the financing will help further accelerate growth and strengthen WSC's market position.
