Kindstar Diagnostics provides clinical laboratory testing services to hospitals in China. Founded in 2003 and based in Wuhan, it serves more than 2,000 Chinese hospitals, including 660 tertiary care hospitals. Its logistics network for sample collection covers 300 cities across every Chinese province, and it operates laboratory facilities in Beijing and Shanghai. The company signed a strategic agreement with Mayo Clinic under which Mayo Clinic’s Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology will provide training and technical services to help increase the number of esoteric laboratory tests available. Kindstar plans to use new capital to extend its current testing services and expand abroad. The company raised $11M in a Series B financing to support these efforts.
