XeroE

11 Steele Road, Park Royal, London, England, NW10 7AS, United Kingdom

Overview

XeroE provides emission-free delivery services using science-based software to help impact-driven businesses route and execute deliveries via bikes, cargo bikes and electric vehicles. The company operates in London and four other major UK cities and specifically serves clients in London, Bristol, Oxford and Birmingham. It leverages subcontracted owners of bikes, cargo bikes and EVs while maintaining a core fleet of its own electric vans. XeroE reports having raised £730k previously and recorded £100,000 of revenue in July 2022. The firm aims to expand to 23 UK cities by the end of 2023 and monetizes via long-term next-day contracts, same-day supply chain distribution for SMEs, premium ad hoc bookings for prestige legal firms, and leveraging owned/leased assets for overnight e-scooter repositionings. Incorporated in February 2018, XeroE is described as the “Highest Scoring Courier B Corp” and has a reported pre-money valuation of £5M. XeroE provides same-day and next-day zero-emission delivery services, connecting businesses and individuals with drivers using bikes, cargo bikes, electric cars and vans. It launched with customers including Bloom & Wild and Love Yourself and expects to make 6,000 deliveries per month, growing to 50,000 by 2024. XeroE has collaborated with Imperial College to provide businesses with detailed reports on how their deliveries contribute to environmental, social and sustainable development goals and estimated NHS savings. The company says the investment will enable emissions reductions — an anticipated removal of 144,000 kg CO2, 500,000 g NOx and 12,500 g particulate matter — roughly 6% of Bristol’s delivery emissions. It plans to create two full-time Bristol positions to support an anticipated 125 courier roles, all paid at the Living Wage with self-employed or PAYE options. Financially, XeroE has received a £100,000 investment from City Funds with participation from Bethnal Green Ventures to support its Bristol expansion and impact goals.
