  • Noggin HQ

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2026

Noggin HQ builds alternative credit scoring technology that analyses permissioned banking transaction data to identify creditworthy customers missed by traditional systems. The company was founded by Evangeline Atkinson and Laura Mills after they experienced being declined for credit despite steady work and bill payments. Noggin has secured Financial Conduct Authority credit referencing authorisation, enabling it to supply cashflow-based credit data to FCA-authorised lenders. The startup has completed pilot programs and plans to use its recent funding to move into wider market adoption. Financially, Noggin raised a £710k pre-seed round led by Oxford Capital and has now closed an oversubscribed £2.3m seed round led by Blackfinch Ventures with participation from Oxford Capital, Bethnal Green Ventures and angel investors including Alastair Douglas.

  • ZERØTEC

    Led · Seed · Oct 2025

Founded earlier this year by sustainability consultant Nicholas Betts, ZERØTEC deploys patented AI technology that re-engineers pattern design and fabric cutting to eliminate waste at the very start of garment production. Its cloud platform can reduce material usage by up to 15%, addressing the 60 billion metres of fabric—worth more than $300 billion—traditionally discarded before clothes reach stores. More than 250 brands, including Fortune 500 apparel companies, have already piloted the solution, validating its commercial potential. The company’s edge lies in algorithmic pattern optimisation, distinguishing it from incumbents such as LECTRA and Gerber Technologies that focus downstream. With fresh capital in hand, ZERØTEC plans to accelerate R&D, grow its team, expand manufacturer integrations and scale pilots with global names like H&M and Nike. Longer-term goals include international expansion across the EEA and MENA regions, capturing 500 million kilograms of carbon and onboarding 50,000 users. The recent pre-seed raise brings its total external funding to £642,000.

  • Rule

    Participated · Seed · Aug 2025

Rule builds an ADHD-friendly save-to-win mobile app that turns money management into a rewarding game, combining a Tamagotchi-like squirrel with a save-to-win mechanic to help users curb impulsive spending. The product targets people who experience financial anxiety and the so-called 'ADHD tax' by making saving engaging and habit-forming. Rule completed a beta in which its community saved over £100K, demonstrating early traction. The company plans to use new funds to accelerate its public launch from beta, expand its feature set, and grow its product team. The app’s core focus is on accessibility for neurodivergent users and long-term savings behavior change.

  • Vouchsafe

    Led · Seed · Mar 2025

Vouchsafe provides an identity verification platform designed to reduce global ID poverty by accepting a wider range of evidence than incumbents, including real-time digital evidence like eVisas. It offers fallback options such as vouches from trusted referees and conducts background checks, including online footprint analysis, to detect fabricated identities. The company is scaling quickly and is working with financial services firms to apply its technology to banking and credit. Vouchsafe was chosen by the Scottish Government to help provide public services to people who struggle to prove their identity through the CivTech programme. The company intends to use the £1M pre-seed funds to expand operations and further its development efforts. The round was led by Bethnal Green Ventures and supported by Biometric Ventures, Fuel Ventures, Seed X Liechtenstein and angel investor Andrew Chevis.

  • TaskHer

    Participated · Equity · Jan 2025

TaskHer operates an online platform that lists only tradeswomen, enabling homeowners to book and pay verified women tradespeople with pricing set upfront. The company was co-founded in 2022 by Anna and Paul Moynihan after their own experience of being sidelined during a renovation, and it has connected over 4,000 customers with tradeswomen across London. TaskHer has extended its mission into a partnership with Refuge to supply trauma-informed maintenance to domestic abuse safe houses. The platform distinguishes itself from larger UK trade directories by screening specifically for tradeswomen and focusing on visibility to grow demand and supply. In 2024 the company reported 79% revenue growth and has run a Crowdcube campaign as part of its fundraising to date. Planned product and commercial priorities include continued platform development and B2B expansion into housing associations, lettings agencies and women’s refuges.
