XOi builds software for maintenance and field service technicians to capture photos and quickly access information about the machines they are fixing. The company began in 2010 building connected 3D glasses and hardware under the names Pairasight and XOeye, but pivoted to phone and tablet apps after hardware proved too costly and clumsy. The company also intends to invest heavily in talent, adding dozens of new team members across marketing, sales, customer success, and engineering. XOi Technologies (formerly XOEye Technologies) provides a SaaS-based field service communication solution aimed at the MEP sector. Its XOi Vision platform leverages workflow automation and machine learning to streamline documentation of service calls, facilitate real-time remote support, archive key service content, and improve transparency. The system integrates with existing Field Service Management software and can be used with standard mobile devices or a variety of smart wearable devices to capture video and audio content. Led by CEO Aaron Salow, the company emphasizes content capture and workflow integration to support field technicians and back-office teams. The company announced plans to accelerate product development around content distribution, data mining, and machine learning using the newly raised funds. XOEye Technologies combines wearable computing devices, custom applications and cloud-based software to deliver real-time communication and efficiency solutions for employees and customers. Its solutions support business processes including on-site service, training, sales and auditing with remote assistance.
