Yellowdig is a Center City–based edtech company. The company announced a six-figure funding round from two New York City venture funds, QB1 Ventures and Rosecliff Ventures. Founder and CEO Shaunak Roy told Technical.ly the investment was in the $500,000 range. The new capital is intended to support opening a New York City office focused on edtech. Recently Yellowdig also raised another sizable amount of cash and added SaaS executive and investor Sashi Reddi to its board of directors. Yellowdig operates a discussion platform described as a “Reddit for the classroom,” designed to support classroom engagement and interaction. The company was founded in 2014 and is Center City–based. Shaunak Roy is the company’s CEO and founder. The company announced the closing of a $1 million funding round led by SRI Capital. Sashi Reddi of SRI Capital is specifically named as the investor who initiated the deal. The funding is intended to kick off a year of growth for the company.
