Yoti builds digital identity and verification technology that uses facial analysis to confirm a person matches the photo on their ID. The company provides verification services to businesses and public bodies, with clients and partners including Meta (trialled on Instagram), the Post Office, the UK Cinema Association, Lloyds Bank, OnlyFans, Sony PlayStation, Yubo, Aldi, the government of Jersey and the NSPCC. Lloyds Bank invested £10m and launched a digital ID app powered by Yoti in October last year. Founded in 2014, Yoti says it has significant and increasing revenues and is targeting profitability. Since launch the company has raised more than £166m, making it the UK’s most funded digital ID startup. Its product aims to improve trust, security and safety in the digital world by enabling remote identity verification for multiple sectors. Yoti is a digital identity technology company led by CEO Robin Tombs and based in London, UK. The company offers identity verification, age verification, document eSigning, access management, authentication and facial age estimation. Yoti's solutions are used across industries including financial services, retail, gaming and e-commerce. Over 13 million people have downloaded the free Yoti Digital ID app worldwide; the app is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Polish. Yoti is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2013 for ID Verification Services and ISAE 3000 (SOC 2) Type 2 for its technical and organisational security processes. The company intends to use new funding to develop its technology that protects customers' identities and personal data online. Yoti offers a digital identity platform and consumer app intended to replace physical ID documents and allow users to verify specific attributes (for example, age) on a need-to-know basis. The company says its app has more than 4.7 million installs and its technology is embedded via partnerships across retail, government, travel and social platforms, including Heathrow Airport, NCR and Yubo. Yoti was founded in 2014 and launched its solution in November 2017; it was selected by the Government of Jersey, where 10% of the adult population have used Yoti. The company has developed a browser-based age-verification product called ProveMyAge to address the UK’s upcoming Digital Economy Act. Yoti emphasizes privacy and minimal data sharing by enabling organisations to request only verified attributes that users choose to disclose. Financially, the company says it has received around £65 million in investment to date, with significant backing from co-founders Robin Tombs and Noel Hayden. Yoti provides a mobile digital identity app that lets people take a selfie and scan a photo ID with their phone to prove their identity or age to businesses and organizations. The app is available for iOS and Android. Led by CEO Robin Tombs, the company said it will use the funds to accelerate UK growth and grow its consumer network. The company currently employs about 200 people in London. The recent round values Yoti at £65m and the company raised £8m in funding. Backers included existing angel investors and founders Robin Tombs and Noel Hayden.
