Overview

Yumble is a New York City–based healthy kids’ meal brand that ships kid-friendly lunches, dinners and snacks to homes weekly. The company sources seasonal, local and organic ingredients whenever possible, emphasizing nutrient-dense vegetables, grains, proteins, fats, herbs and spices. Meals start at $6.99 per meal with free delivery. Co-founded by David Parker and Joanna Parker, Yumble aims to help parents shape positive, healthy children’s eating habits without cooking. The company plans to use new funding to expand marketing for national expansion and to build out the team for product development and product line expansion. To date Yumble has raised $8.5M in total funding. Yumble offers subscription-ready breakfasts, dinners and snacks for kids, with a rotating menu of 22 options per week. Each Yumble box includes activity sheets, collectible reward coins and trivia cards to engage children. Pricing is tiered at $7.99 per meal for six meals a week, $7.49 per meal for 12 and $6.99 per meal for 24. HelloFresh co-founder Dan Treiman joined the company last December and helped Yumble officially launch in the summer. The service is live in 26 states on the U.S. east coast and plans to expand to the west coast in the first half of 2018, with a hoped-for first-quarter rollout. Competitors named in the article include Scrumpt, Nurture Life and Wise Apple, and the company positions its brand as kid-first and fun.
