YuMetoday operates a video ad network that dynamically places video ads on publishers across multiple platforms and builds monetization technologies for video publishers. The company develops tools that allow publishers to build apps to support mobile video ads and recently released iOS SDKs. It launched two mobile video ad units—Mobile Connect, a full-screen overlay with a 'Tap To Action' feature and social icons, and Mobile Billboard, a pre-roll full-screen banner or rich-media ad. Intel Capital made a $5 million strategic investment in the company. The new capital will be used toward its mobile video ad technology. YuMetoday has raised nearly $55 million in total funding and is profitable. YuMe provides a platform for managing video advertising. The company is headquartered in Redwood City, California. It completed a $25M funding round to support its growth initiatives. The financing is intended to facilitate new technology offerings and additional expansion. In conjunction with the funding, Menlo Ventures’ Shawn Carolan joined YuMe’s board of directors. The company retains backing from multiple venture investors including Accel Partners, BV Capital, DAG Ventures and Khosla Ventures. YuMe is an advertising network that specializes in broadband video.
