Overview
Yuvo Health provides technology-enabled administrative and managed-care solutions to community health centers and Independent Physician Associations. The company leverages sustainable payment systems, scalable infrastructure, and partnerships within the value-based care ecosystem. Launched in January 2021 and led by CEO Cesar Herrera, Yuvo Health currently serves centers in the Northeast and Midwest with plans to expand into other markets. The firm raised $20.2M in a Series A that brought total capital raised to $27.5M. In conjunction with the financing, Fatima Husain of Mastry Ventures joined the company’s board. Yuvo intends to use the proceeds to enter new markets and pursue additional revenue models. Yuvo Health provides technology-enabled administrative and managed-care contracting services to Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), helping them unlock revenue via value-based care. The company launched in January 2021 and is based in New York City, led by a fully BIPOC founding team. Yuvo serves the downstate New York market and plans expansion across New York, the Midwest, and the Mid-Atlantic. It will use new financing to expand its downstate New York program, develop proprietary technology tools and platform, and deepen partnerships with FQHCs in greater New York and other markets. Yuvo recently published a guide on value-based care for FQHCs and says it will broaden its team in quality analytics, care coordination, product, engineering, and population-health strategy. The startup positions itself to reduce the administrative and operating burden on community health centers so they can focus on patient care.
