Zaya Care is a US maternal-care platform modeled on the European maternal care system that partners with payers to expand postpartum services. It aggregates small postpartum specialists—pelvic floor therapists, postpartum mental-health providers, acupuncturists and others—groups them, handles administration and negotiates reimbursement with insurers. The company currently lists 50 providers available to patients and has more than 500 providers on a waiting list for vetting and onboarding. Zaya has active partnerships with Emblem Health, Aetna and United Healthcare and is working to bring additional insurance providers onto its platform. Founder Leoni Runge, who grew up in Germany, modeled the product on European systems where care wraps around pregnancy and postpartum, and she emphasizes distribution as a core challenge. The platform’s administrative functionality is described as mission-critical to enable broader access and better reimbursements for fragmented postpartum care. Zaya raised a $7.6 million round to support its growth and onboarding efforts.
